Fan Fiction Review #047: Wild, Sweet, and Cool

mlp_logo1_crop31312.png

I've seen a lot of things that look shippy, but this one puts on a reflective belt and yells 'TWIDASH' in my face.

Author: Kwakerjak
After reading a book by Spitfire's personal trainer, Rainbow Dash decides that the best way to get closer to her ultimate goal of joining the Wonderbolts is to add strength training to her practices by having one of her friends ride her. However, when she decides that Twilight Sparkle is just the mare for the job, the pegasus gets a bit more than she bargained for.
I guess it's my job to do just a bit more than freak out at a cover art and try to start a Pinkie mob, though I'll have you know this only got read on direct orders.  They banish ponies here.. anyways, catch the breakdown after the break!

Episode Review: "Magical Mystery Cure"

Tokusentai... wait.

Grab the popcorn, because Commander Firebrand has released his next MLP Episode Review: "Magical Mystery Cure!" In this one, he does battle with colorful text effects and the barracks shower! Dead serious.

And he's still referring to himself in the third person. Odd. As usual, hit the jump for the latest episode plus all links to previous ones!

Fan Fiction Review #028: Keeping Your Hooves On The Ground

Diabeetus...

The Cutie Mark Crusaders ask Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy about what happened just after the events of the Cutie Mark Chronicles; specifically, what happened to Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash immediately after the race. Reluctantly, Dash and Fluttershy delve into a tale.  A tale of a young Fluttershy's amazement at the world she had landed upon, and a filly Dash's desperate quest to save her from that most evil of places: THE GROUND.
Will this story melt the Drill Sergeant's frozen heart? Grab your insulin and head past the jump to find out!

Fan Fiction Review #023: My Roommate is a Vampire

What is it with these darn Vinyl and Octavia stories that makes them so interesting to read? I also wonder what it is about werewolves and vampires that makes those stories so...well sold. Mixing two good things together always comes out great right? Right?

Author: Dennis the Menace
There was only one explanation. For all of it. All of the strange, erratic behavior. Her irrational fear of the sun. Her nocturnal habits of locking herself in in the dark and closing all the blinds. Wearing her sunglasses everywhere, even inside! It was time to invest in some silver, garlic, and a wooden stake.
Vamponies and Wereponies after the break!

Fan Fiction Review #020: Not in My Air Force You Don't!

IT HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION THAT THIS STORY HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM FIMFICTION. IF ANYONE HAS A LINK WHERE IT MAY BE FOUND, PLEASE LET US KNOW VIA EMAIL.

'Sup my military bronies? Spangle here with another review... yes I still do these! Especially when the story is about the US Air Force!

This story was recommended to me by one of my fellow Airmen, to whom I can only say "What did you just make me read."

I'm not joking. This is close to how it really is! The insanity that I deal with everyday! This story definitely deserves the random tag. It's also loosely based on true events in my life. Rainbow Dash is the leading Senior NCO of a Com squadron. Pinkie's this spastic Technical Sergeant. Twilight is a grumpy Master Sergeant. Fluttershy is the adorable Commander. Yay.
What do I mean by that comment? Find out after the jump!

Episode Review: Look Before You Sleep

The jokes just write themselves for this one.

Commander Firebrand has released his next MLP Episode Review: "Look Before You Sleep!" In this one, he teams up with Darth Subtlety and fights a heroic battle against the evil Hurricane Sandy! (No he doesn't, but wouldn't that be awesome?)

I don't know why he's still talking in the third person either. Hit the jump for the latest episode plus all links to previous ones!

Episode Review: Dragonshy

You may not know this... Okay, you probably do, but yours truly, Commander Firebrand has a moderately successful YouTube channel under alias "joshscorcher" A.K.A. "The Fiery Joker." And from week to week he posts episodic reviews of episodes in sequence. This week's review: "Dragonshy!" with special guest Chewie from one of our allies "The Chaos Theatre!"

I don't know why he's talking in the third person either. He says to hit the jump for the latest episode plus all links to previous ones!

Fan Fiction Review #014: Strange Bedfellows

Hey there, kids! Tweak back once more to review some fan fiction fer ya! This is my first assigned review here at FOB Equestria. Wow, I'm being assigned to read pony fiction. My life is officially awesome.

AUTHOR:  Fernin
Princess Celestia gave very clear instructions to Twilight and her friends before sending them through the Interface to the temporary embassy on Earth: without the unanimous support of all six mares, any and all negotiations with the humans of the Confederate Gulf States will come to a screeching halt.
Both sides have much to gain from a cordial relationship and, after a week of feverish talks, the Confederacy has brought around five of the six Equestrian ambassadors...  But there is one hold-out: Applejack.  How can the CGS' diplomatic team get Applejack to sign off on the deal?
That's a tricky question, but by no means the hardest... The hardest is being asked by Texas Guard Corporal Robert E. L. Cargyle: why the heck do his bosses think that he is the one for the job?!
One thing's for sure... Politics definitely makes for some strange bedfellows.
Does this story meet the standard? Find out after the jump!
