Your God-dang right Cathy. |
Part two of the continuing summary of whats going on at ComicCon!
This one's a little smaller.
Ponies:
A quick review of yesterday's panel.
- Tabitha St. Germain(Rarity), Tara Strong(Twilight), Andrea Libman(Pinkyshy), Cathy Weseluck(Spike), describe how they developed their character's voices.
- Tabitha decided that Audrie Hepburn would be a good starting point for Rarity's voice
- Meghan McCarthyy favorite episode is "Lesson Zero", and her favorite song is the "This Day Aria".
- Cathy's favorite episode is "Owl's Well That Ends Well".
- Andrea's favorite episode is "Party of One" because she was allowed to go completely crazy with Pinky Pie.
- Tara's favorite episode was "Lesson Zero" for much the same reason as Andrea and "A Canterlot Wedding"
- Tabitha's favorite episodes were "Dog and Pony Show", "Green is Not Your Color" and "Dragonshy"
- About 32 minutes in Tabitha explains and voices Luna
- Derpy is loved by Hasbro and she did nothing wrong.
- The staff is usually forbidden from reading Fanfics
- Tabitha and Cathy voiced out a short segment were Spike attempted to propose to Rarity (non-canon).
- Cathy did a great Octavia voice about 29 minutes in.
- Cathy also used her eloquence to put out an amazing quote:
- "This show is about excellence, in every single way." She explains how the show is successful due to the quality of work put in by everyone. "No one can explain the demographics that we have.. and I don't think we need to explain it. We just need to enjoy it."
- There is a second song that was released about the mane 6 trying to save the crystal ponies.
- It was immediately remixed. Also, there is a reggae version, by a group known for remixing the last one, and for their thrash metal hits. How do you not love this community?
Video Games: (all release dates are US)
PS3:
There appears to be a new version of the PS3 which is unreleased so far, it is a bit smaller and has a different finish, but its still a PS3.

Gears of War: Judgement: Release date: March 19, 2013
Judgement will include a mode called Overrun, which is like a class based King of The Hill style multiplayer match that includes some light fortification elements. The four classes will be Engineer, Soldier, Medic, and Scout. The engineers will be able to build and repair turrets and fortifications, but not replace them when they are destroyed. Soldiers have the ability to issue ammo, Medics have the ability to throw grenades that can heal and revive fellow combatants. Finally, Scouts will be able to climbs up to certain places and use their sniper rifle to hit enemies from a distance. In addition to this, they can use a beacon (grenade) that will display all the enemies within a certain radius.
The Locus in this match are slightly different in that they do not have a singular set of four classes, but actually use points gained from destroying fortifications and killing enemies to unlock one class after another in-game resulting in creating waves of nastier Locus as time goes on. Starting with tiny and fast Tickers to larger and more dangerous Serapedes and Maulers. Also, Bloodmounts are included and can carry other two other Locus types and boost their special abilities.

Deadpool: Release Date TBA
It's Deadpool being himself, in video game format. Seeing if he can break the fourth wall more often than Pinky Pie can, all while horribly mutilating his enemies.

Miscellaneous:
The Hasbro booth was pretty diverse, and of course included ponies. You can see a fan made youtube video of just the MLP stuff here, or you can see all of there other, mainly Marvel and Star Wars action figures (including Jar-Jar frozen in carbonite) here. I'd still suggest taking a look at it, because the guy trying to report on the Hasbro booth is scared of Bronies, thinks Magic Sparkle is a pony, and assumes that when you consummate the marriage of your ponies in the Royal Canterlot Castle, it is done on the swing set. Which hilariously leads to a horrible innuendo about our dear Lyra. Which I have posted in the "Post Ponies!" section of our forum.
Now I'll know whether or not the readers actually got this far in the post
